Schaeffler, the motion technology company, will present its latest range of products and technology solutions aimed at enabling mobility to be more efficient, intelligent, and sustainable at the Automotive Engineering Exposition 2025 YOKOHAMA (Booth #388), taking place from May 21-23.

For the first time in Japan, Schaeffler will introduce its expanded product portfolio following the merger with Vitesco Technologies. With over 20 exhibits and more than 7 products on display being exhibited in Japan for the first time, event attendees will experience Schaeffler’s solutions across its eight product families focused on electrification and intelligent applications for multiple drive systems.

Energizing mobility and motion with a comprehensive technology portfolio

Electrified powertrains have been part of Schaeffler’s core business since 2018. The merger of Vitesco Technologies strengthens Schaeffler’s capabilities in electronics and software solutions, offering cost-competitive solutions through synergies and complementary solutions.

Visitors can explore an extended range of offerings including controllers, inverters, thermal management systems, and integrated solutions such as the EMR4 electric axle drive.

The diverse portfolio caters to all types of electrified drives ranging from 48V mild hybrids, plug-in hybrids through to pure battery drives as well as fuel cell drives.

Intelligent solutions extended from chassis to vehicle body

Schaeffler forecasts that by 2035 every tenth car on the road will be highly automated (Level 4) another 15 percent of newly registered passenger cars and light commercial vehicles will be partially automated (Level 3). With expanded sensor and actuator expertise, Schaeffler is paving the way for industry changes in highly autonomous driving.

The showcased chassis solution will include a range of by-wire products and technologies, including steering bearings used in the hand wheel actuator (HWA), which ensure a comfortable and responsive steering feel when human involvement is required.

Driving sustainable progress with future-ready technologies and solutions

Schaeffler actively develops future-ready technologies to ensure sustainable progress in motion. The company sees immense potential of hydrogen technologies and is drawing upon its systems knowledge across the drivetrain and expertise in e-mobility to develop solutions for mobility applications.

At the Schaeffler booth, visitors can explore innovations such as the spoke damper on crankshaft, hydrogen injectors, and various sensor solutions catered for hydrogen mobility.
